Person Troubles with Maya
I had great difficulty with beginning the Piano I chose to copy for Maya. I had to individually extrude each white part of the key, and then the black part. I was hard to see the glitches until I got really close up in the view menu. I wanted each key to be evenly spaced and sized and I found it difficult to do that just using the naked eye to guess.

Chair- Maya
This was my first time working with Maya along with the rest of the class. Making a chair gave us the freedom to design it however we liked, but still gave us boundaries that we were instructed to follow. Working with 3D was a brand new experience and i felt the chair AND the wine glass exercise really prepared us for the next project.
Project 2 Additive
For this project I chose to ultimately use a photo of myself and add it to an image. I used an image of a group of protesting women fighting for Women's Rights. Its ironic because my facial expression is confused and I am facing these iconic women while they are wearing old fashion appropriate 'women'attire and working so hard for the rights I have had all my life.
Issues and Struggles with Project 1
I found it very difficult to complete this project in a successful way. It was a struggle to mesh my father into the image in a way that looked like it was on purpose. It was hard to chose his transparency and position in the image because it really affected the idea that the viewer got from the picture.
Project 1- Portrait
For this project I chose to combine a picture of the Twin towers, and a photo of my Father. The connection between the two is very important to my family for various reasons. My father worked in one of the buildings and although he was not present the day of the incident, he lost so much from that day. He lost friends, a working environment he loved, and a job that supported his family. I chose a picture of him with a sad expression that is meant to express his feelings on the day of this occurrence. I attempted to mesh the two photos together making it look like my Father was fading into the burning towers to convey his sadness and emotional attachment.
Comments on assignment 1
I felt this assignment was a good introduction to using photoshop. It forced us to experiment and play around with certain tools that many of u have never used before. Being completely unaware to how photoshop and the abilities it possesses i felt that this project was easy enough for me to work with, yet showed me a lot of aspects that photoshop has to offer.
Photoshop-Assignment 1: Word & Image
The first assignment we received as a class was taking an image and a work, and work with the two making a successful final work in photoshop. The goal was to have a vital connection between the word and image whether it be irony, opposites, or anything of that nature. I chose an outdoor setting with a dream catcher which to me, conveyed a sense of freedom and open space. The word I chose was 'Suffocation' and I went with the ironic angle. Its ironic that the word 'Suffication' is ironically placed in an outdoor open spaced scene. If a person was living in that the scene, the last feeling they would have would be suffocation.
Demo #1-Photoshop
The first thing we learned in the class is the mechanics of Photoshop. We worked together as a class in Photoshop testing out the different tools on the side bar. We worked with adding/subtracting, image size, and altering the color of the image and background.
